Jesus and Thomas.

Jesus told Thomas that he was the Way. Thomas said "Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way ? " Jesus repied " I am the Way, and the Truth and Life" (Jn 14.5-6) The figure of Thomas putting his hand in the side of the Risen Lord, because he found it hard to believe in the Resurrection, has symbolized the doubts of many a believer, especially in our modern scientific world. The concept of the Way, or Marga, is very important in the Eastern tradition. In fact originally the disciples of Christ were known as the followers of the Way. In the Far East we have the concept of the Tao, which is the Way understood as the Reality. "All pervding, unfailing, one may think of it as the mother of all things under heaven. Its true name we do not know; 'Way' is the name we give it...." Tao Te Ching xxv by Lao Tzu.
